Community Redevelopment Agency
The Draft Greater Frenchtown/Southside Community Redevelopment Plan (GFS Plan) has been updated to include revised community prioritized goals that are linked to the City’s Five-Year Strategic Plan priorities. The draft plan is moving through the adoption process and is scheduled for adoption in March 2021.
To further focus efforts and meet the community’s stated priorities for the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Greater Frenchtown/Southside (GFS) district, the CRA has approved the GFS Strategic Investment Plan with feedback from the community.
On June 29, 2020 the City of Tallahassee Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Board approved $250,000 in grant funds to assist small businesses located in the Greater Frenchtown/Southside Community Redevelopment Area (GFS District) affected by COVID-19. The program criteria and application are provided below. Applications must be submitted electronically; no paper applications will be accepted. Grants of $2,000 will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until the $250,000 has been committed.
