TPD Investigates Death In The 2700 Block Of Pecan Road (Updated January 13, 2020)

Second Update - January 13, 2020:
After the composite photos were released last night, we received numerous tips as to the possible identity of the victim. Through those tips, we were able to make a positive identification within an hour and then get in contact with his family.
The Tallahassee Police Department would like to thank the community for its help in making the identification possible.
Update - January 13, 2020:
Investigators have determined the death to be a homicide. The victim is an adult male who died after being shot.
At this time, the identity of the victim remains unknown, and the TPD Violent Crimes Unit is asking for the community’s help in identifying him. These photos were created using a computer-based composite, and is not an actual photo of the individual. We are aware that this could potentially be someone’s son, husband, or brother, however, time is of the essence in identifying this victim for forensic purposes.

The Tallahassee Police Department is currently investigating a death in the 2700 block of Pecan Road. At approximately 8 a.m., officers responded to a tip and arrived to find a deceased person in an outdoor location.
This case has been assigned to investigators with TPD's Violent Crimes Unit. Investigators are asking anyone with information about this case to please call them at 850-891-4200 or Crime Stoppers at 850-574-TIPS. TPD will provide more information when it becomes available.
