MLK Day Parade
The MLK Day parade previously scheduled for Monday, Jan. 18, has been rescheduled to Saturday, Feb. 6. To commemorate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and in recognition of his life-long efforts toward social justice and equality, the City will host this reverse-style, drive-thru parade in downtown Tallahassee from noon to 2 p.m.
The uniquely formatted parade will take place along Monroe Street between Tennessee Street and Pensacola Street. Participants, which include a diverse and energetic mix of floats, exhibits and entertainment, will be stationary along either side of the road. To experience the parade, spectators will travel in their vehicles southbound along the parade route.
