I am a unaltered male & I look like a German Shepherd Dog
The shelter staff think I am 5 years old.
J-5 is a 66-pound, energetic boy who came to the shelter after his owner became unhoused. Named after the Jackson 5, this handsome pup is talkative, active, and happiest when he’s spending time with people. He loves playing with his ball and has lived most of his life outdoors, so the shelter environment feels overwhelming and unfamiliar for him.
J-5 will need a very secure yard—he’s a talented jumper and digger—and an experienced dog owner who can help him build confidence, understand boundaries, and feel safe in a home again. He can be protective, and he’ll need to meet any resident dogs before joining their family. With the right guidance and structure, J-5 has so much potential to be a loyal, loving companion.
