City of Tallahassee Commissioner Elected to Serve on Florida League of Cities Board of Directors

The Florida League of Cities (FLC), celebrating its 100th anniversary as the united voice for Florida's municipal governments, announced that City of Tallahassee Commissioner Dianne Williams-Cox was recently elected to serve on the Florida League of Cities Board of Directors. During the annual FLC meeting this month, Williams-Cox was also elected to serve on the Florida Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials (FBC-LEO) Board of Directors.

"Municipal governments have the power to improve the quality of life for residents. Local voices matter and I am humbled to represent the City of Tallahassee as a board member for the Florida League of Cities and Florida Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials," Commissioner Williams-Cox said. Williams-Cox was elected as a City of Tallahassee Commissioner in 2018.

With membership representing more than 400 cities, towns and villages in the Sunshine State, FLC's mission is to serve the needs of Florida's cities and promote local self-government. The FLC Board of Directors provides organizational leadership and guidance to the association and is comprised of municipal officials from across the state.
