November 24, 2021
On Nov. 24, at 5 a.m. the Tallahassee Fire Department (TFD) responded to a structure fire at Seven Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center. TFD found smoke in the building upon arrival. Crews quickly located a fire inside a heating and air conditioning unit and extinguished the fire. Most of the smoke was in the cafeteria area, and staff on scene had moved residents to un-involved areas of the facility.
The fire caused an estimated $20,000 in damages. Due to the quick actions by staff and response by TFD, there were no reported injuries, and the facility was able to remain open and care for its residents.
