Arrested Two Weeks Ago - Lesson Still Not Learned

On Monday, January 22, 2018 at approximately 6:18 p.m., TPD's Community Oriented Policing and Problem Solving (COPPS) Officers were conducting proactive patrol in the area of Midyette Road and Capital Circle South East. After conducting a traffic stop an on-scene investigation was conducted by officers resulting in the arrest of Willie Hinson for various drug offenses.
Mr. Hinson was recently arrested in the search warrant executed at Speed's Grocery 801 Floral St. on January 5, 2018. The drugs were impounded at the TPD as evidence, and Mr. Hinson was transported to the Leon County Detention Facility for processing. For further details, the probable cause affidavit is attached to this release and has been redacted in accordance with Florida Statute 119.07(2)(e) and 119.071(5)(a).

- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia pursuant to Florida Statute 893.147(1).
- Possession of Marijuana not More than 20 Grams pursuant to Florida Statute 893.13 (6)(b).
- Possession of Marijuana With Intent to Sell or Manufacturer or Deliver pursuant to Florida Statute 893.13(1)(e)2.
- Possession of Controlled Substance Without Prescription pursuant to Florida Statute 893.13 (6)(a).
- Opium or Derivative Traffic 4 Grams to Under 30 Kilograms pursuant to Florida Statute 893.135 (1)(c)1.
