Young Burglars Get New Homes

The Tallahassee Police Department has arrested two people in connection to several burglaries recently occurring throughout the city. Investigators with the Burglary Crimes Unit have been working extensively to prevent and deter criminal activity in residential areas recently affected by crime to include neighborhoods near Jackson Bluff Road and residential areas near West Tennessee Street. This week, two people were arrested for committing burglaries on Bald Eagle Run, Mayfair Road, Fairbanks Drive and Horne Avenue.
Jayquan Duncan was arrested January 22, 2018 by TPD officers after he attempted to break into a residence at 2349 Horne Avenue. Burglary Crimes Investigators assisted with the on-scene investigation and established probable cause to make an arrest. Mr. Duncan was transported to the Leon County Juvenile Assessment Center for processing.
Eddric Webster was arrested January 23, 2018 after being located in a stolen Hyundai Santa Fe by the Leon County Sheriff's Office. TPD's Juvenile Services Unit had outstanding warrants on Mr. Webster and he was arrested. After a complete review of the cases at 2413 Mayfair Road, 905 Bald Eagle Run, and 406 Fairbanks Drive, Mr. Webster was charged with two counts of burglary, six counts of grand theft of a firearm and other related charges. Mr. Webster was transported and processed at the Leon County Juvenile Assessment Center.
Investigators are continuing to follow up on these cases. - Armed Trespassing of a Structure or Conveyance pursuant to Florida Statute 810.08(2)(c).
