TFD Responds to East Call Street Fire

On Jan. 14 at 1:13 a.m., the Tallahassee Fire Department (TFD) was dispatched to a building fire in the 600 block of East Call Street. TFD crews arrived on scene in less than four minutes and discovered fire coming from the roof. TFD searched the building for occupants and made an interior attack to extinguish the fire. The fire was brought under control in less than 20 minutes.
The daycare located in the building was closed at the time of the fire. No one was in the building, and there were no reported injuries. The business is expected to be closed for repairs. The fire is being investigated by the Tallahassee Fire Department Fire Prevention Division.
TFD was assisted on scene by the Tallahassee Police Department, City of Tallahassee Utilities and Leon County EMS.
