TFD Responds to Residential Fire on Gaile Avenue

At approximately 1:15 p.m. on April 3, the Consolidated Dispatch Agency received a call reporting a fire at a residence within the 400 block of Gaile Avenue.

Upon arrival, Tallahassee Fire Department (TFD) crews were met with smoke coming from the roof of the home. Two elderly occupants were already outside. TFD began an aggressive attack on the fire and had it out within 30 minutes.

One occupant was transported via ambulance to the emergency room for burn related injuries. Both occupants were displaced from the home.

TFD was assisted on scene by the Tallahassee Police Department, City of Tallahassee Utilities and Leon County EMS.
