City Commission to Discuss City Auditor Position

The special meeting of the City Commission on May 9 will now focus on discussion and possible selection of the City Auditor candidate, with employment terms to be negotiated by the City Attorney. The remaining candidate who was to be interviewed withdrew from consideration because she accepted another position in Tallahassee.

The Tallahassee City Commission will hold a special meeting on Friday, April 20, at 10:45 a.m. and another on May 9 at 9:45 a.m. to conduct interviews for the City Auditor position.
A nationwide search to fill the position was conducted from January 6 to February 9. This resulted in 41 applications received, 16 of which were deemed eligible. A Citizen Review Committee, appointed by the City Commission, met March 22 to consider the applications. The committee unanimously approved moving forward five of the qualified applicants to the City Commission for its consideration.
On April 20, the Commission will interview Joseph Maleszewski at 11 a.m., Chuck Hefren at 12 p.m. and Melinda Miguel at 1 p.m. On May 9, the Commission has scheduled time to interview Francine Farrington at 10 a.m. and Anatoli Douditski at 11 a.m.
The interviews will all be held in the Tallahassee Room on the second floor of City Hall, 300 South Adams Street. They will be open to the public.
