Three Arrests Made in Shooting Incident

On Monday, February 10th, TPD responded to the report of a shooting which occurred on Blairstone Road just north of Park Avenue.
According to the victim, he had been attempting to mediate a conflict with the suspects in the area of Park Avenue and Victory Garden Drive. When he drove away, he noticed they were following him. As they caught up to him, shots were fired at the victim from the suspect vehicle. Although the victim's car was struck by the gunfire, he was unharmed.
The suspects and the victim are known to each other. The driver of the suspect vehicle was identified as Sakarra Grissom, 18. She was taken into custody on February 11th and charged with Attempted Murder for her participation in the act. The passengers were identified as Jacarius Ford, 17, and Marlacia Kitchen, 14.
Further investigation revealed the person who fired the shots at the victim was Jacaruis Ford. A pick-up order was obtained for the charges of Attempted Murder and Shooting into a Vehicle. He was taken into custody this morning by members of TPD's Career Criminal Unit and the US Marshal's Service. During his arrest and subsequent service of a search warrant, two firearms were recovered. One of the firearms had been reported stolen to TPD last year.
Marlacia Kitchen was arrested this afternoon, also by TPD's CCU and the US Marshal's Service, and was also charged with Attempted Murder.
