To register for either the adult softball or adult flag football league, visit Talgov.com/parks. Registration can also be dropped off in person at PRNA's main office, 912 Myers Park Drive, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
After the final registration date, teams wanting to play will be placed on a wait list and must pay a $10 late fee. The late fee deadline for softball is Friday, August 11, and the late fee deadline for flag football is Friday, August 18.
Additionally, both programs need officials. If you're interested in applying to be a softball umpire or flag football referee, email Janet Lucas at Janet.Lucas@talgov.com. People interested in serving as officials will need to participate in mandatory rules and field clinics.
The required rules clinic for potential softball umpires will be held on Saturday, August 26, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Messer North Press Box. Required field clinics will be held at Messer North on Tuesday, August 29, and Thursday, August 31, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. each night.
The required rules clinic for potential flag football officials will be held at Messer South on Sunday, August 27, from 3-5 p.m., with required field clinics on Wednesday, August 30, and Wednesday, September 6, from 6-8 p.m.
