New Pickleball Courts Open with Extravaganza
Community Invited to Learn the Game
December 06, 2019
Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports in America, and it’s expanding in Tallahassee, too. The community is invited to celebrate the new courts in Tom Brown Park this Sunday, Dec. 8, from 2:30-4 p.m.
At the Pickleball Extravaganza, which is free and open to all, you can learn the rules of the game, test the new pickleball machine and try out the new courts. You may even win a prize!
The new courts are located adjacent to the tennis courts on the east side of Easterwood Drive. Parking is available nearby; attendees are asked to be mindful not to block the disc golf course if parking in the grass.
For more information about this event or pickleball in general, contact Lenin Mongerie at Lenin.Mongerie@Talgov.com. Information about sport offerings from the City of Tallahassee is available at Talgov.com/Parks.
