Pickup information for residential customers

Yard waste from residential establishments shall be placed at the curb for collection in accordance with your red/blue week schedule (look up your schedule) and separate from other solid waste. Yard waste placed at the curb off schedule will be picked up on the next scheduled collection day. Customers may request a special collection to have yard waste removed prior to the scheduled collection day. See all guidelines.

 

How to prepare for pickup

Place clippings, straw, leaves, etc., in heavy bags or boxes. For shrubs and limbs, you may make piles 6' x 4' x 4' (six feet by four feet and four feet high). The maximum size for limbs is six feet long, four inches in diameter. For tree stump removal, please contact a tree service. See all guidelines.

Please remember:

  1. The maximum size for a yard waste piles is 6' x 4' x 4' (six feet long, four feet high and four feet deep). You will receive notification and instructions if your pile is not arrange at the curb properly. See all guidelines now.
  2. Separate bulky items from any yard waste piles set out for pickup.

 

Residential customers who live in an apartment

If you live in an apartment, ask your manager where to place yard waste for disposal. These "trash" items, per Florida law, cannot be placed in garbage or recycling containers.

 

Pickup information for commercial customers

Yard waste is not included in normal commercial services, but can be picked up for an additional fee by completing the online request form.

Commercial customers can bring CLEAN (no plastic bagged trash) yard waste to Leon County's Solid Waste Management Facility located at 7550 Apalachee Parkway. Bulky items are taken to Marpan Recycling located at 6020 Woodville Hwy.
