The City of Tallahassee is excited to invite YOU to enroll today for our new, free and secure electronic SmartBill solution. Smart because you will save your time and money. Smart because everything we do to reduce waste, save energy and conserve water is an investment in our community and our future.
We are committed to reducing the impact that paper communication has on our environment. It is estimated that more than 600 million pounds of paper are used to print bills in the U.S. each year. That's a lot of trees. By working together, we will make a difference.
By choosing the SmartBill solution, you will receive your monthly utility bill securely & directly into your email inbox. It also allows you to easily take advantage of the no-cost electronic payment option (Bank Transfer - ACH payment) from within the SmartBill.
Your SmartBill will have a summary of your charges, your actual utility statement (just like the paper copy you receive currently) and additional information that can help you save energy, save water and save money. In addition, with our new, no-cost, electronic payment option, you can securely schedule payment directly from your SmartBill.
The no-cost option is a bank transfer-ACH payment. Credit card or debit card payments from within the SmartBill do have retail money transfer fees from Western Union, the vendor contracted to process these payments from the City of Tallahassee Utilities' customers.
