Ready. Set. STOP! Red light safety cameras are now operational in the City of Tallahassee (click here for a list of locations). The intersections being monitored have some of the highest numbers of red light violations and traffic collisions in our community. Making the decision to stop at these intersections and all intersections when the traffic light is red will help keep motorists safe and free from costly fines.

Example of Red Light Violations
The video below features actual footage of dangerous violations that occurred at the Ocala Road/Tennessee Street, Tennessee Street/Capital Circle SW, and Tennessee Street/Monroe Street intersections. While these violators escaped causing serious injury to themselves and others, that is not always the case when someone risks running a red light. As part of the Red Light Camera Safety Program, each of these violators received a $158 fine and will hopefully think twice before running another red light.
