The Employee Resources Division is composed of both the Employee Resources Office and the Recruiting Office, located at our headquarters.
Our Recruiting personnel handle all recruitment for Police Officers and Police Officer Trainees, perform preliminary and complete background investigations, schedule truth verification, medical and psychological examinations, and are the people to contact if you are interested in working for the Tallahassee Police Department as a Police Officer or Police Officer Trainee.
Our Employee Resources Office is a "one stop shop" for information for all current employees. We supply information on payroll, retirement, insurance, policies and procedures, hiring, termination, and more. We also provide public records requests, verifications of employment, and basic information to the public. Our office provides the city's job listings concerning non-sworn positions around the city, as well as accepts applications for temporary, non-sworn positions within the department.
