TPD Investigating Fatal Hit and Run

The Tallahassee Police Department's Traffic Homicide Unit is asking for the public's assistance in identifying the vehicle in a hit and run crash that left one person dead and sent another to the hospital. TPD officers heard the crash at approximately 1:50am Sunday morning while dealing with another arrestee in the 600 block of Osceola Street. The Top Flight Club is in the same block and the two victims were walking near the club at the time of the accident.
The female, who died at the scene, has been identified as Twayla S. Ragin. The male victim, who is still in a local hospital recovering from his injuries, has been identified as Anthony J. Gibson. The suspect vehicle has been described by witnesses as a dark colored Chevrolet sedan with front end damage as a result of the crash.
TPD's Traffic Homicide Unit is pursuing all leads and asks community members with information about this case to please call TPD at 606-5800 or the Big Bend Crime Stoppers at 574-TIPS. Crime Stoppers does not want your name, just your information; and, you may be eligible for a cash reward.
