Black Out Notice
July 8, 2015 - July 22, 2015
City of Tallahassee Retirement Transitions to new record keeper Empower Retirement
(MAP 401k, RSVP 457, 175/185 Supplemental Share, and DROP plans)
The Empower Retirement plan information you need will be part of a single website, by going online to www.retirewithtalgov.com . This allows easier and convenient access to your account, investment funds, contributions, retirement calculators and plan beneficiaries all in one place.
During the blackout period from July 8, 2015 through July 22, 2015, you will not be able to conduct any transactions such as loans, contribution, fund transfers or withdrawals. Funds will remain invested during the blackout period and the review-only function on the website will be available until we go-live on July 23, 2015. The review function will allow you to view transition bulletin, blackout notice, and Frequently Ask Questions as it relates to how the blackout could affect you. Once the transition is complete, you will be able to access your Defined Contribution accounts (MAP 401k, RSVP 457, 175/185 Supplemental Share, and DROP plans) provided with the PIN (personal identification number) number that will be mailed out the week of July 20, 2015 from Empower Retirement. It is important that you keep this PIN number as this will allow you to log on and access your account information on July 23, 2015 and thereafter. If you have any questions or need any additional information during this transition period, please contact the Retirement office at 891-8323.
