City-Owned Parking Facilities

The City of Tallahassee owns two public parking garages and two surface lots. The Real Estate Management division oversees operations of all these facilities, although the facilities are actually operated by Republic Parking, a parking-management firm. On-street parking is also managed by the Real Estate Management division, with enforcement by Tallahassee Police Department.

For locations of the facilities, please refer to the Downtown Parking website.

Monthly parking reservations are handled by Republic Parking at 850-561-3066.

All other questions about parking facilities not addressed on this page should be addressed to Republic Parking at the above number.

Surface Lots

The first of these is a paved lot on the corner of Duval Street near Gaines Street. Monthly parking spaces here cost $30 per month.

In addition, this lot includes parking meter spaces. The meters accept nickels, dimes and quarters for the following periods of time:

Rates
6 minutes $ .10
12 minutes $ .20
30 minutes $ .50
60 minutes $ 1.00

Additional units of time may be purchased with various combinations of coins. (For example, inserting a nickel and a quarter would put 36 minutes on the meter.)

Parking meters here are operational 8:00am to 6:00pm. After 6:00pm, parking in those spaces only is free. (Monthly spaces are never available for general public parking.)

The second surface lot is a gravel lot at the corner of Bronough Street and Gaines Street. All spaces at this lot are all monthly, and cost $20 per month. No other public/transient parking is permitted in this lot.

On-Street Parking

The City also maintains nearly 1,200 on-street parking spaces spread throughout the community, including areas along Downtown and Gaines Street. Beginning in February 2019, visitors and residents alike will be able to find and pay for these on-street parking spaces using the ParkMobile app.

The ParkMobile app is free for download from the Apple and Google Play stores. Once motorists create an account through the app, they can view available parking spaces and pay for them from their mobile device. Using signage posted near the meter, motorists can enter the zone number, choose a duration time and click "start parking." The app will also send alerts to motorists when their purchased time is about to expire. Motorists can extend their parking time directly from the app.

See the below video for instructions on how to use the ParkMobile app.
