Arrests Made in Robbery of ATM User

The Tallahassee Police Departments Violent Crimes Unit has made an arrest in a robbery which occurred on Thursday August 17, 2017. TPD Patrol Officers were called to the First Florida Credit Union at 503 Appleyard Drive after the victim called the Consolidated Dispatch Agency. The elderly victim stated he was knocked to the ground and robbed of his wallet by several unknown people as he walked away from the outside ATM of the bank. He received minor injuries during incident and was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.
Before being taken to the hospital, he was able to give the responding officers a general description and direction of travel of the suspects. The responding officers canvassed the surrounding area, including the nearby apartment complex. In the complex, they were able to identify two of the suspects and arrest them. Several more suspects may have been involved in the crime and the case has been assigned to a Violent Crimes Investigator for a full follow up.
