An adult and four juveniles were arrested on July 15, 2017 at midnight in Cascades Park in a stolen vehicle. Tallahassee Police officers with the Community Oriented Policing & Problem Solving (COPPS) Squad were conducting proactive police patrols in the area of Lake Bradford Road and Levy Avenue addressing citizen complaints of criminal activity, when they first observed the stolen vehicle. With the assistance of the Leon County Sheriff’s Office helicopter, officers were able to keep the vehicle in sight. The vehicle was driving recklessly and entered Cascades Park. The five occupants realized TPD officers were behind them and ran from the vehicle. Officers were able to capture all five people running from the stolen vehicle within five minutes.
