TPD Investigates Shooting on Jackson Bluff Road (Updated 1/8/19)

The Tallahassee Police Department is currently investigating a shooting near the 2400 block of Jackson Bluff Road. At approximately 3:25 pm., officers were notified of the shooting incident and responded to the area. Arriving officers and emergency personnel discovered that two victims were suffering from gunshot wounds. Sadly one of those victims succumbed to their injuries.

The Tallahassee Police Department has arrested Darius Phillips in connection for the homicide that occurred at 2416 Jackson Bluff Road. Mr. Phillips is currently in the Leon County Detention Facility. The Tallahassee Police Department would like to thank all those who assisted the Violent Crimes Unit with this investigation.

As the Tallahassee Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit continues to investigate this case, they are releasing the names of the victims. Victim Keyana Jackson remains at a local hospital in stable condition. At this time, investigators are interviewing all known witnesses and processing the evidence collected from the scene.
