Proactive Patrol Leads to Arrest

On Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 2:04 a.m., Tallahassee Police officers were conducting proactive patrol to prevent criminal activity at 1111 High Road. Officers made contact with a suspicious person they observed in the parking lot which resulted in an arrest for drugs and firearms related offenses. Henry Ezell was observed standing next to a stolen vehicle and in possession of a motorcycle with an altered vehicle identification number (VIN). Officers conducted an extensive on-scene investigation with the assistance of an investigator assigned to the Criminal Investigation Bureau. During the officers' contact with Mr. Ezell, they located a loaded 9mm handgun concealed on him. A second handgun, along with illegal drugs to include methamphetamine, Buprenorphine, and drug paraphernalia were located in the stolen vehicle with Mr. Ezell's personal items.
Mr. Ezell is a Florida Convicted Felon and was arrested for the stolen vehicle, firearms and drugs located in his possession. The firearms and drugs were impounded at the Tallahassee Police Department as evidence. Mr. Ezell is currently in the Leon County Jail. - Possession of Opium pursuant to Florida Statute 893.13(1)(a)1.
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia pursuant to Florida Statute 893.147(1).
