How to file a Comprehensive Plan Amendment
The Leon County Board of County Commissioners and the Tallahassee City Commission will accept for review proposed map amendments to the Future Land Use Map and proposed text amendments to the Comprehensive Plan through December 2, 2011. To apply for a map amendment, you must be the owner of the subject property or a legally authorized agent of the owner. A $300 non-refundable filing fee and a separate application form for each map amendment request is required.
Pre-Application Deadline: November 22, 2011
Prior to submitting a Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Map Amendment or a Text Amendment Application, you must schedule and attend a mandatory pre-application conference with staff of the Comprehensive Planning Division (850) 891-6400 .The deadline for completing this meeting is 10 workdays prior to the application period deadline date. An application may not be submitted without a pre-application conference form.
Application Deadline: December 2, 2011 (5:00 P.M.)
Applications received after the deadline will be scheduled for the next available amendment cycle. An application must be complete and sufficient in analysis upon submittal to the Department. Incomplete or insufficient documented applications will be returned to the applicant. The department has 10 workdays to determine if the application is complete and sufficient.
