TPD Makes an Arrest at College Club Townhomes After Gunshots Were Fired

On Monday evening, March 26, 2018 at approximately 7:52 p.m., TPD Patrol Officers responded to a call regarding a male shooting a handgun at a vehicle leaving College Club Townhomes located at 2833 South Adams Street. The quick response by officers and the information provided by witnesses on scene enabled TPD to conduct an extensive on-scene investigation and develop probable cause for an arrest. Raheem Cooke was arrested by patrol officers on drug and firearms charges including improper display and discharging a firearm in public. Officers located a .40 caliber handgun and over 90 grams of marijuana with some individually packaged in small plastic bags.
The drugs, drug paraphernalia and handgun were impounded at the Tallahassee Police Department as evidence. Mr. Cooke was transported to the Leon County Receiving Facility for processing. For further details, the probable cause affidavit is attached to this release and has been redacted in accordance with Florida Statute 119.07(2)(e) and 119.07(5)(a).

- Possession of Marijuana With Intent to Sell within 1000 feet of a school or place of worship pursuant to Florida Statute 893.13(1)(e)2.
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia pursuant to Florida Statute 893.147(2).
