The improvements being done along Bradford Road from Monroe Street to Meridian Road will create a safer, more walkable corridor and enhance sewer and water service reliability in the area. During construction though, hazards exist. To keep both the contractor’s crew and the public safe, Bradford Road will remain closed through the completion of the project.
When the project began, it was anticipated that the full road closure would only be implemented through a portion of the project. The scope of the work, however, is necessitating its continued closure. Access will still be maintained for local traffic.
Crews are upgrading water and sewer lines, closing open trench ditches, installing new storm drains, building sidewalks along both sides of the road and resurfacing the road.
The project is anticipated to be completed this spring.
