Senior Center Celebrates the Holiday Season
Annual Deck the Halls Event Returns Dec. 1
November 21, 2017
On the eve of Winter Festival, another annual holiday celebration occurs – Deck the Halls. Join the Tallahassee Senior Center on Friday, Dec. 1, as the building is transformed into a winter wonderland full of food, music, good cheer and even better company. The fun begins at 6:30 p.m.
Relaxation and fun begin with complimentary valet parking. The air will be filled with festive tunes, courtesy of Jazz Etcetera. Throughout the evening, guests will nibble delectable goodies and enjoy tasty holiday inspired martinis. This feast for your senses is sure to put you in the mood to participate in the ever-popular, silent auction.
The silent auction offers a mixture of adventure, pampering and more. Place bids on over 150 items for a variety of budgets, everything from unique, one-of-a-kind gifts to themed-dinner parties for friends and destination vacations. There are items available for everyone on your list – even Fido!
Additionally, the $500 cash giveaway is back again this year. Tickets are one for $5 or three for $10, and you do not have to be present at the time of the drawing to win.
As if the evening wasn’t enjoyable enough, as you make your way up to the second floor, a menagerie of wreaths will be displayed and available for purchase to help you deck the halls of your home. The wreaths are currently on display at the Senior Center thanks to generous donations from the community and sponsors, and you can buy a wreath now or plan to make a bid at the event.
Deck the Halls is an event you don’t want to miss. Tickets are on sale and cost $45 each. Discounts are available for groups of 6, 8 and 10. It’s the perfect reason to round up your friends and partake in holiday fun – with the added benefit of zero clean up! All proceeds from the event go toward services for Tallahassee’s senior population. Please call 891-4003, visit TallahasseeSeniorFoundation.org or stop by the center to purchase your tickets today.
This year’s Deck the Halls event is sponsored by Audiology Associates of North Florida, a Division of Tallahassee Ear, Nose & Throat, the Tallahassee Senior Center & Foundation and other generous sponsors.
