Different Kind of Birdie Watching Coming to Hilaman
Course to Host Tallahassee Open Golf Tournament

If you have dreams of becoming the next Phil Mickelson, you won't have to travel far to build your competition chops. Hilaman Golf Course will host the first Tallahassee Open Golf Tournament on Saturday and Sunday, August 24-25. The tournament is an individual 36-hole stroke play event and is open to all professional and amateur golfers, regardless of residence.
Professionals will compete in their own division, and five amateur divisions will be flighted based on course handicap. The entry fee is $125 for amateurs and $200 for professionals. Spectators may attend free of charge. Prizes will include a professional purse, as well as gift certificates for amateurs. Refreshments will be provided by Pepsi.
Registration is currently open. The entry form is available at Talgov.com. Entries can be mailed to or dropped off in person at Hilaman Golf Course, 2737 Blair Stone Road. Checks or money orders should be made payable to Hilaman Golf Course. Credit card entries may be made in person or by calling 891-2560. All registrations must be completed and submitted no later than August 19.
The tournament will begin at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 24. Practice rounds will be available the week prior to the tournament.
