You can make inspection requests from 5:00 AM to 12:00 Midnight, any day.

The telephone number to call the IVRS is 891-1800 for the City and the County. At the opening menu you can just follow the directions or press the keys listed below. If you are calling from a phone other than a touch tone phone you will be directed to stay on the line and you will be connected to a City operator for assistance.

You must have the permit number to use the system.

To schedule an inspection press:

(You can press "0" at any time to speak to someone) 1, 1, enter the permit type number, enter the permit number and # key, you should wait to have the system speak back the site address to verify that you entered the correct permit number, enter the three digit inspection code, 1, (1 to leave a message for the inspector or 2 if no message for inspector,) 1.

To cancel an inspection press:

1, 2, enter the permit type number, enter the permit number and # key, wait to have the system speak back the site address, enter the three digit inspection code, 1, 1.

To hear inspection results press:

1, 3, enter the permit type number, enter the permit number and # key, wait to have the system speak back the site address, enter the three digit inspection code, 1, 1.

To hear plan review status press:

1, 4, 1, enter the permit number and # key, wait to have the system speak back the site address, 1.

NOTE: ALL Fire, Commercial Mechanical, Commercial Gas, Residential Change Out, City Loan Programs, and all Gas Meter Set Inspections MUST be scheduled through the Inspection Services Permit Coordinator at (850) 891-7040.
