Mobile Home Fire Believed to be Arson

Yesterday at 7:18pm, the Tallahassee Fire Department responded to a mobile home fire in the 14800 Block of Fairbanks Ferry Court. Firefighters arrived on scene to a singlewide mobile home engulfed in flames. Firefighters forced entry and made a quick knockdown on the fire. The occupants were outside the home upon our arrival. Damages from the fire were estimated at $20,000 resulting in a total loss of the structure. No injuries were reported at the scene of the fire. The Red Cross was called out to assist the displaced occupants. The Florida State Fire Marshal's Office and Tallahassee Fire Department were at the scene investigating the cause of the fire which is believed to be arson. The State Fire Marshal's Office is actively investigating the case. The Leon County Sheriff's Office and Bradfordville Volunteer Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
