How can I be a part of the Firefighter Explorer program?
The Firefighter Explorer is the young-adult division of the Boy Scouts of America. Explorer posts are organized by businesses, industries, professions, and community organizations to bring career-oriented and special-interest programs to young men and women ages 14-20.

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to serve others by helping to instill values in young people and in other ways prepare them to make ethical decisions over their lifetime in achieving their full potential.

In fulfilling this mission, the program's purpose is to provide experiences to help young people mature at this stage in their lives and to prepare them to become responsible and caring adults. The result is a program of activities that helps the youth pursue their special interests and grow and develop.

If you or someone you know would be interested in learning more about the Firefighter Explorer Program contact Deputy Chief Steve Anderson at 891-6609. Get additional information on Learning for Life career education programs.
