- The City of Tallahassee is a Certified Green City?
- The Water Utility's Wastewater Division has become ISO Certified for its Environmental Management System. This internationally recognized accomplishment not only helps protect our region's natural resources but places the City's wastewater utility as the first such facility in the state to receive the designation.
- An extensive photovoltaic solar energy system at Trousdell generates power for the city's electric system?
- Our new Solid Waste Services building has received the LEED Silver Certification by the United States Green Building Coalition's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program?
- The City's Fleet Management Division has developed a biodiesel fuel production facility that creates fuel for its diesel-run vehicles out of used cooking oil?

- C. H. Corn Hydroelectric Plant - one of only two hydroelectric plants in the state of Florida.
- Sam O. Purdom Generating Station - uses state-of-the-art technology to generate power at a rate 30% more efficient than older generating systems and "Zero-Discharge Technology."
- Tram Road Water Reuse Facility - The facility is part of the City's commitment to using treated wastewater in innovative and environmentally sensitive ways.
