Police Search for Suspect

Last night, at approximately 12:40AM, the Tallahassee Police Department responded to 400 Putnam Drive (University Gardens Apartments) in reference to a reported attempted sexual battery. Upon arrival, officers discovered that an unknown male suspect had attacked a female victim. While walking near the vacant buildings, the victim was grabbed from behind and forced to the ground. The victim received minor injuries during the attack before the suspect fled on foot.

Investigators continue to examine and evaluate physical evidence found at the scene, but are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact the Tallahassee Police Department at (850) 891-4200 or Crime Stoppers at (850) 574-TIPS (8477). You could be eligible for a cash reward.

Suspect: Description: Male, 5’06”-5’09”, 40-50 years of age with a raspy voice.
