Home Invasion Suspects Arrested
December 8, 2009
Last night, at approximately 10:45PM, the Tallahassee Police Department responded to a reported home invasion robbery at 2677 Old Bainbridge Road (Oasis Apartments). Upon arrival, officers apprehended three suspects as they fled the area near the victims’ apartment. During the investigation officers discovered that four victims were inside the apartment, when four suspects forced their way in to the apartment. One of the suspects, later identified as 19 year old Keldrick Phillips, is said to have brandished a shotgun and demanded cash from the victims. One of the victims was able to hide and call “911” to report the robbery. Due to the quick action of the victim, officers arrived on scene and apprehended three of the four suspects without incident.
During the robbery, one of the victims was struck with the shotgun causing a non-life threatening wound to his head. The victim was taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital for treatment. A fourth suspect eluded capture and investigators are attempting to identify and apprehend this suspect.
