Update: Career Criminal Unit Captures Domestic Violence Suspect
December 1, 2009
Yesterday, the Tallahassee Police Department responded to the 2700 Block of Lake Henrietta Street in reference to a stabbing. Upon arrival, the victim was bleeding and stated that her husband, Johnny Edward Robinson, was the person who stabbed her. Robinson fled the scene before officers arrived and eluded capture during the initial investigation. Robinson's wife was holding her infant child during the attack. The child was not injured, but the victim was hospitalized and treated for non-life threatening wounds. Robinson is listed as a fugitive from the Department of Corrections and has an extensive history of violence.
Today, the Tallahassee Police Department's Career Criminal Unit conducted a follow up investigation in an effort to apprehend Robinson. Investigators received information that Robinson was hiding at an apartment in the 1100 Block of Gibbs Drive. Investigators quickly responded and apprehended Robinson without incident.
