Senior Center Hosts Early Purchase Sale for Deck the Halls

City Logo November 4
Preview Event This Friday - The Tallahassee Senior Center is preparing for their annual signature benefit event, Deck the Halls: A Celebration of Wreaths. Before they roll out the red (and green) holiday carpet, however, they're opening their doors for a preview event and sale. This Friday, Nov. 6, from 6-8:30 p.m., the public is invited to the Tallahassee Senior Center, located at 1400 North Monroe, for the Insider's Art Reception and Wreath Celebration. There is no charge to attend.

This event is a buy-it-now sale for many of the items that will be on display at Deck the Halls. Unique, handcrafted wreaths can be purchased depicting a variety of influences, including the seasons, pets, seaside and more. Holiday ornaments crafted by local artists will also be available for purchase.

This is the first of two preview events being held by the Senior Center leading up to Deck the Halls: A Celebration of Wreaths, which will be held Dec. 3. Tickets to Deck the Halls are $25 and are on sale now. The evening features a silent auction, entertainment by the Debra Lawson Band, wreaths and ornaments on display to view and purchase and lots of good cheer.

The second preview event, Brunch & Boutique, will be held Saturday, Nov. 14, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Senior Center. Tickets are $10 for this event and are currently available for purchase. Additional information will be provided next week.

The Tallahassee Senior Center is operated and maintained by the City of Tallahassee's Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Affairs. For more information on the Senior Center and all its holiday happenings, please call 891-4000 or visit Talgov.com.
