Youth Football Takes to the Field

Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Affairs Hosts / Third Annual Preseason Tackle Football Jamboree - The City of Tallahassee's Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Affairs Department will host the third annual Preseason Tackle Football Jamboree on Saturday, October 3, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Messer Sports Complex, North. Admission to the jamboree is free. This is the 53rd year the City of Tallahassee has run its youth football program.
Each Pee Wee and Junior League team will play two mini-games during the course of the morning. Each mini-game will be about the length of a regular game's quarter.
The day will be packed with fun family-friendly activities such as a rock climbing wall and bounce house. There will also be a performance by the Leon High School Steel Band.
The Red Elephant will be selling lunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
