City Auditor Sam McCall Receives National Recognition
July 31
Tallahassee City Auditor Sam McCall has received the highest honor in government auditing from the Association of Government Accountants (AGA). McCall was named as the recipient of AGA's 2008 Robert W. King Memorial Award, given annually to formally recognize superior service to the government official who enhances the national prestige and stature of both AGA and the profession itself. McCall was honored during AGA's 57th annual Professional Development Conference and Exposition, held this week in Atlanta.
Jeffrey Hart, Immediate Past National President of AGA, said, "There is no one any more deserving of the Robert W. King Memorial Award than Sam McCall. Sam has had an amazing career, and he continues to make major contributions to AGA and the profession." McCall is also a past president of the association, having served in 2005-06. He was also a founding member of the Tallahassee Chapter of AGA.

McCall has served as City Auditor since 1999. A native of Crestview, Florida, he is a graduate of the University of West Florida with a bachelor's degree in accounting, and Florida State University with a master's degree in public administration.
