Signal Outages Planned at Major Intersections
August 19, 2013
Over the weekend, lightning strikes caused damage to traffic control cabinets at the intersections of Tennessee and Monroe streets and Tennessee Street and High Road. Crews will be replacing the cabinets Tuesday, August 20, and Wednesday, August 21.
Tomorrow at 9 a.m., the traffic signals at the Tennessee/Monroe intersection will not be operational. The outage is expected to last 4-5 hours. Tallahassee Police Department officers will direct traffic during this time.
The following day at 9 a.m., the traffic signals at the Tennessee/High intersection will not be operational. Again, the work is expected to last 4-5 hours, and TPD officers will direct traffic.
Motorists are urged to use caution in these areas and obey all directions given by TPD officers. Using alternate routes is suggested. For traffic updates, please follow COTTraffic on Twitter.
