Holiday Travel Tips from Tallahassee Regional Airport
November 22, 2013
The holiday season is the busiest time of the year at airports. The Tallahassee Regional Airport (TLH) is offering some tried-and-true tips to help passengers prepare for a safe and enjoyable air travel experience.
- Arrive at least 90 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time.
- Bring a boarding pass; ticket or ticket confirmation, such as a printed itinerary; and a government-issued photo ID.
- Pack light and check with your airline regarding checked baggage fees.
- Use 3-1-1 for liquids in your carry-on baggage. 3-1-1 = 3 ounce bottle or less (by volume); 1 quart-sized, clear, plastic, zip-top bag; 1 bag per passenger placed in the carry-on baggage screening bin at the security checkpoint. If in doubt, put your liquids in your checked luggage. Medications, baby formula and food, breast milk and juice are allowed in reasonable quantities exceeding three ounces and are not required to be in the zip-top bag. Declare these items for inspection at the security checkpoint.
Following these simple tips will make your holiday travel easier and more enjoyable.
