Airport Adds Additional Service to Washington, D.C.
Non-Stop Service Begins on October 28
September 05, 2012
Tallahassee Regional Airport (TLH) is pleased to announce that US Airways will be adding a second daily non-stop service between Tallahassee Regional Airport and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA), which serves Washington, D.C., beginning on October 28.
US Airways will provide the additional service using its CRJ aircraft. This additional service comes as a result of outstanding performance of the current daily flight from TLH to DCA.
"Tallahassee air travelers will be elated to hear of this second nonstop flight to D.C.," said Mayor John Marks. "These expanded flight options, combined with the fact that Tallahassee airfares are 23 percent cheaper than a year ago, are clear indications that great things are happening at our airport."
"This additional daily DCA flight validates our assertion that the Capital to Capital service is very popular with our business travelers accessing the Washington, D.C., New York and Boston markets," said Sunil Harman, Director of Aviation for the City of Tallahassee. "The early morning departure and late night arrival will enable our customers to complete their work and return the same day."
Tickets can be purchased online at www.usairways.com, by calling US Airways Airlines at 1-800-428-4322 or by contacting your local travel agent.
US Airways is one of four major commercial air carriers servicing TLH. Other service providers include American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines.
The Tallahassee Regional Airport is owned and operated by the City of Tallahassee. For more information about TLH, please visit www.flytallahassee.com or like Tallahassee Regional Airport on Facebook.
