Airport Receives Outstanding Rating on Annual Federal Inspection
August 30, 2012
Today, the Tallahassee Regional Airport (TLH) completed its annual Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airport Certification Inspection. TLH met all standards necessary to maintain its federal Airport Operating Certificate. In fact, the Airport did not receive any discrepancies as a result of the comprehensive federal inspection.
Each year, the FAA inspects every commercial service airport over a two to three day period. Airport safety, training, Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) and various airfield management and documentation issues are evaluated. With such an intensive inspection, it is rare that no discrepancies are found.
The FAA inspector mentioned that Tallahassee Regional Airport was well-maintained and managed and that the staff was extremely professional.
"Special thanks go to everyone that assisted in preparations for this inspection and their continuing vigilance to ensure that Tallahassee Regional Airport is inspection ready at all times," said Sunil Harman, Director of Aviation.
The Tallahassee Regional Airport, operated and maintained by the City of Tallahassee, thanks its passengers and visitors for their continued patronage.
