Airport Funfest 2012 - Schedule and Activities

On Saturday, October 6, the Tallahassee Regional Airport will proudly host Airport Funfest 2012 sponsored in part by Flightline Group, Red Hills Powersports and RS&H. Running from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the General Aviation Area just west of the Tallahassee Regional Airport, the event will feature aerial demonstrations, US Army Golden Knights parachute team, military and general aviation static displays, aircraft rides, live music, regional food and beverage concessions, and increased kids' activities! The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), Chapter 445, will be providing FREE introductory flights to students between the ages of 8 and 17 years. A variety of aircraft and safety vehicles such as helicopters, fire engines and historic airplanes will also be on display for families to explore. The Airport anticipates hosting in excess of 5,000 people, based upon 2011 participation.

Attendees (18 years or older) will also have the opportunity to enter into a drawing to win some fabulous prizes. Tickets for the drawings will be $1.00 each. The general public is invited and admission is $2.00 per person; children 12 and under receive free admission. Net proceeds benefit the United Way of the Big Bend.
