TPD Arrests Burglary Suspect

At approximately 11:30am on Thursday, May 7th, the Tallahassee Police Department responded to the 700 block of Osceola Street where an adult female victim said someone was trying to break into her house.
According to the victim, she was away from home when she got an alert from her security system which confirmed someone was attempting to gain entry into her residence by checking doors and pulling on windows. The Leon County Sheriff’s Office Aviation and K9 Units responded to assist.
Officers were able to get a detailed description of the suspect, who was located a short distance away and taken into custody. The suspect initially lied about his identity, but his real name was eventually determined and a warrant was discovered.
